Seniors enjoy Toronto trip
By Annie Morenz
SHIPKA - A bus load of Seniors
enjoyed a trip last Friday, to Toron-
to, where we had our noon meal in
the "Harbour Castle revolving re-
staurant," followed by a tour aboard
a glass topped Amsterdam -style
boat among the islands around To-
ronto harbour.
A tour guide gave us lots of in-
formation, on the buildings along
the water front, and other things.
We saw parks, homes, an island air-
port, church . restaurants, hotel,
clubhouse, marina's and lots of
geese on one island:
On the way down we went by
way of Stratford, with a drive along
the Avon river where we saw the
lovely white swans and ducks, and
the Festival theatre. We even saw a
pile of snow in the Stratford Park.
Tree scenery was quite beautiful
inmany places.
Seniors on this trip were from
Grand Bend, Dashwood and Exeter.
From this area were Doreen Fink-
beiner, Dorothy Fenner and Annie
Morenz.
Peter McNaughton was our bus
driver, and our happy hostess was
Nola Love, who kept us entertained
with jokes and stories and little
treats.
Going down we stopped for a cof-
