Ken Demaere of Kitchener performed a solo on Sunday after- noon. Saturday evening a delicious tur- key supper was enjoyed at the church, catered by the Women's In- stitute. Sunday afternoon was the anniversary service when many guests and former members of the church were welcomed. In his message, Dr. Tanner stated • that anniversaries remind us to re- member the past and to thank God for His many blessings. It is also a time to forget about past hurts and disappointments, and to look to the future of the Church, and drcam big dreams for the congregation. It is a time to renew our commitment to God and His work in our church. The service was followed by a . In chapter 2 of "Women Who Believed God" they studied the book of Hosea, who wrote about the personal tragedy he experienced when he obeyed God's directive to marry a woman who would be un- faithful to him. It is not generally believed that Gomer was a practis- ing prostitute when Hosea married her, but she became one later on.
