Good Companions view film
DASHWOOD - Dashwood Good
Companions held their first meet-
ing Monday, •September 18: Presi-
dent Shirley Preszcator welcomed
36 members- and eight visitors.
Everyone enjoyed the film presenta-
tion given by Dan Weigand on his
work trip to Egypt by Teen Mis-
sions._
The meeting closed with a deli-
cious lunch served by Martha Wci-
gand's group. The next meeting
will be a pot luck dinner 5:30 p.m.

Seniors dining
A volunteer- information meeting
for "Dining for:Seniors" will be
held Wednesday September 27 - 10
a.m. in' the Zurich Community
Centre. Speaker is "Bev Brown,
Town and Country Homemakers.
Volunteers are needed for this
weekly noon meal. If you arc a
senior or have 2-3' hours once or -
twice a month_ to give, come to the
meeting and bring your enthu-
siasm. .

90 season, Tuesday.September 12.
The meeting_ opened with a hymn,

Lynn Gaiser left Thursday for
Vancouver where she'll take up res-
idence with Andrea Zimmer.

Crediton
CRED1TON - It's Hospital Tag
Day in Crediton tonight. -
Members of the Crediton Wom-
en's Institute will be canvassing
the village tonight on behalf of -the
South Huron Hospital Auxiliary.
A special service will be held at
Crediton United Church Sunday
night at 8 p.m.
That's when Rev. Ed Laksmanis
will be -officially inducted as the
new minister.
Rev. Doug Wright of Hensall
and other Presbytery officials will
be in charge of the service.
Anniversary
A large -crowd helped celebrate
the 20th anniversary of the Credi-
ton Men's club Saturday night.
Featured were a beef barbecue
dinner and dance along with a
birthday cake.
. Lorne Hodge was the charter
president and Ted Wales is the cur-
rent president. -
Eight past presidents were in at-
tendance. They were Steve Perts-
chy, Wilmer Wein, Harvey Hod=
;gins, -Glenn - Hodgins, Fred
Beavers, Gerald Dearing, Kett Gla-
vin and Bob Reynolds; -

Mr. and Mrs. Stan Preszcator,
Clinton, visited Saturday with Mr.
and Mrs. Dave Isaac and Tasha.
Miss .Tasha Isaac spent Saturday
morning with Miss Jenna Barnes,
Thedford. Jenna celebrated her
fifth birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Farr, and Jere-
