Dropping a putt - Gary Kline gets set to drop a putt on the 18th
green during the Bayview Men's Invitational Tournament on the
weekend. Over 115 golfers enjoyed the good weather to take part
in the tournament.
The Panthers travelled to Strath-
roy to play two exhibition games
but were defeated in both contests.
In the first game, the Panthers
weren't much competition for their
overpowering opponents. Strathroy
took an easy 25-4 lead after the first
half of play. SH continued to work
hard in the second half but couldn't
catch the Saints losing 41-19.
First year, senior player, Julie
Meurer, led the scoring with five
points while Andrea Bell and Liz
Mol added four each and Spring
Cushman added three.
SH played much better in their
second meeting, holding Strathroy
to a 19-13 count after the first half
of play. However, the Saints came
through and defeated the Panthers
36-21.
Leading the scoring for SH was
Michelle Ellison with six points,
Mol with five and Christine Rose
added four.
The girls are scheduled to meet
Clinton for an exhibition game this
week and will participate in the
Sanders Secondary School Tourna-
ment on the weekend.
