Ladies golf ends
EXETER - The top winners of
the Ironwood Ladies Golf Club
"overall of the field" was as fol-
lows:
1st low gross in A - Joan Hey-
wood - 80 (38 + 42), 1st low gross
in B - Bernice Thompson - 95, 1st
low gross in C - Shirley Tieman -
108.
1st low net in A - Anita Cook -
64, 1st low net in B - Linda Parkin-
son 64, 1st low net in C - Mary

Junior golf wrap-up - Ironwood golf course's junior golf club had
its final Texas Scramble wrap-up tournament. The foursome of Tre-
vor Truemner (left), Fred Godbolt, Fred Steciuk and Jason Cool -
man won the scramble with a score of 34.
Failed Bunt - Exeter Greys catcher Sandra Bums throws out a St.
Marys runner that attempted to bunt her way on base during the
opening game of the South Perth Ladies Fastball League playoffs
which Exeter won last Tuesday. The second game of the series
was scheduled for last Thursday in St. Marys but was postponed.

EXETER - Ironwood Golf
Course's junior golfers club fin-
ished their season with a Texas
Scramble, Thursday.
The boys were organized into
four teams and the result was a
very close race. - -
The foursome of Jason Coolman,
Trevor Trucmner, Fred Godbolt and
Fred Steciuk were awarded first
place through a 34 -point tie breaker
over the team of Trevor Taylor,
Ryan Stuart, Brad Thompson and
Mike Burton.
Another 35 -point tie for third and
fourth place resulted in third place
going to Brent Southcott, Jeff
MacLean, Scott Parsons and Craig
Schwartzentrubcr,
The threesome of Darren Mason,
Dave Farquhar and Gavin Snell
took a graceful fourth place.
The young golfers had a good
season and wrapped it up with
draws for prizes and lunch at the
clubhouse.
Gerry Edwards and Mike Burton
received golf umbrellas for having
the highest and second highest at-
tendance respectively. -
