GRAND BEND - The Folk
Choir of Blessed Sacrament, Wind-
sor, sang a Folk Mass for the 11
a.m. service at Immaculate Heart of
Mary Church in Grand Bend on
Sunday morning. They performed
two special numbers at Commun-
ion, "Yaweh, I Know You Are
Near: and "Peace Is Flowing Like
A River". Linus Kuntz was reader
at the 11 a.m. Mass, and his wife
Angela, joined him to act as Eu-
charistic Ministers during Com-
munion.
Father Paul Beck, pastor, wel-
comed weekend visitors from Ire-
land, Poland, Holland and all parts
of the USA and Canada. In the gos-
pel, it reminded us that "the first
shall be last, and the last shall be
first." Showing up regularly at
Mass doesn't automatically mean
that we'll be saved - it can get to be
a boring routine for many. We
must want to come, and to partici-
pate with enthusiasm, to avoid the
trap of apathy and indifference.
Congratulations to Richard and
Rosemary Edgeworth, who are cele-
brating their 25th wedding anniver-
sary this week.
