rich on Saturday and won the "A"
Championship. Congratulations to
this team and their coaches Sandy
Hayter and Lee Norman.
The Bantam boys had their tour-
nament and won their first two
games and missed out on the "A"
Championship on their third game.
Their coaches are Mark Taylor and
Jeff Hayter.
- The Stanley Tykes defeated the
Clinton Tyke team in a close game
on Monday night. Strong hitting
by many Stanley players made an
exciting 19-17 game. Horne runs
were scored by Meghan Hayter,
Jonathon Keys and two by Brian
Glenn, but all players hit extrernely
well. Throughout the summer, the
team has played really well togeth-
er. There were some tense times for
coaches and parents but also lots of
fun for the kids. The look of deter-
mination on these future "Ernie

all had a good time and look for-

Elmer and Norene Hayter, Bruce
and Anna Keys and Margaret Elliot
enjoyed a six day trip through parts
of New York State and Pennsylva-
nia.
Erin Keys was one of several stu-
dents from Huron Centennial
School who participated in the SE-
VEC Exchange. She was twinned
with a student from Anjou, Quebec,
which is part .of Montreal near
where Expo. was, for two weeks of
real -French Immersion. This was
arranged for Erin by her French
teacher, Mrs. Laurie.
Erin's twin was Annie Drouin.
On August 5 Annie's father and
brother flew down to London Air-
port.
Unfortunately during Annie's stay
Erin got poison ivy and had to
spend two¢ays in the hospital.
The girls both enjoyed meeting
each others grandparents and other
family members.

Janine Hayter was also fortunate
to go participate in this French Ex-
change to Quebec. Her buddy's
name was Josce Trcpanier and she
lived on Ste. Sophia which is -about
the size of Varna, about an hours
driyc north of Montreal. Janine
went to Josec's first and enjoyed go-
ing to La Ronde and other places in
Quebec. When the week was over
Jost* came to Janine's and Janine
and her family took Josee to Black
Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto

The Stan -Lee Club begins again
for the season on Tuesday, Septem-
ber 5. Eric and Sharon Chuter have
graciously consented to give the
club a tour through their 'mink
barns so they will meet at their
place at 7:30 p.m. There are several
kinds and colours of mink and in
spite of the fact we live so close to
Chuter's Mink farm we probably
know little about the mink so this
should be an interesting experience.
They arc looking forward to having
all former members back and hop-
ing there will be lots more new
ones come along too. After the tour
they will go to the complex, so
bring along your lunch as usual.
