qui n'ont pas encore fait leurs choix de
cours pour septembre 1989, doivent le faire
en aout avant I'ouverture de I'ecole, au
bureau principal.
Les orienteurs et/ou le personnel ad-
ministratif seront disponibles, sur rendez-
vous, durant la semaine du 28 aout, au ler
septembre; pour rencontrer les etudiants qui
ont des conflits ou des changements dans
leurs choix de cours.
Les etudiants, qui ont complete leurs credits
avec succes, a I'ecole d'ete, peuvent deman-
der une revision de leurs choix de cours.
Les inscriptions se feront mardi, le 29 aout
1989 et mercredi, le 30 aout 1989, dans les
ecoles secondaires. Durant ('inscription, les
etudiants recevront leur horaire des cours et
se verront assigner chacun une case.
L'etudiant devra aussi posseder un cadenas
a combinaison de I'ecole avant que tette
case lui Boit assignee. Un nouveau cadenas a
combinaison, si requis, peut etre achete a
I'ecole.
Des frais d'activites scolaires seront exiges
au moment de ('inscription.
Les photos pour carte d'identification seront
prises au moment de ('inscription et les en-
sembles de photos seront en vente par I'en-
tremise de photographe.
Les effets scolaires, uniformes et cahiers
d'exercises peuvent etre achetes a I'ecole.
Les classes, dans toutes les ecoles secon-
daires, commenceront le mercredi, 6 sep-
tembre 1989, etant donne que mardi, le 5
septembre est une journee d' Activite
Professionnelle pour toutes les ecoles secon-
daires.
Les etudiants, dont les noms de famille
commencent par les Iettres suivantes,
devront s'inscrire au moment indique:

I might add that many of our resi-
dents"are not physically able to at-
tend this event and would welcome
having their friends visit here.
Because of vacations, etc., we
have not reported our activities over
the past couple of weeks. There
have been bus trips to the Centralia
Agriculture College, in and around
Mt. Carmel, also the Bayfield and
Clinton area. Thanks to Mr. Bill
Burr and Mr. Marc Chalut for their
continued volunteer work.
The monthly birthday party was
sponsored by the ladies of the Zu-
rich Mennonite Church. The pro-
gram consisted of musical numbers
by the children of the Sunday
School, followed by a delicious
lunch. Residents having birthdays
during the month of August and re-
ceiving gifts, courtesy of the Ladies
Auxiliary were: Mrs. Rose Butler,
Mrs. Hazel Coward, Mrs. Mabel
Glenn, Mrs. Elizabeth Lawrence
and Mrs. Margaret Snell.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery
are extended to Mr. Aaron Ginge-
rich who is a patient in South Hu-
ron Hospital, Exeter.
Wintario is scheduled to be held
in the Zurich arena on Thursday
evening. Some of our residents are
looking forward to attending this
function. The Sunday evening chap-
el services for the past two weeks
have been conducted by Rev. John
Hokstra of°Bayfield United Church
and Rev. Sam Parker of Varna and
Goshen United Churches. Fr. An-
thony celebrated mass for the Ro-
man Catholics two weeks ago and
Fr. Peter Hayes returned for last
week's mass.

Granton folks attend barbecue

GRANTON - Many local people
enjoyed the annual Beef Barbecue at
Poplar Hill on Thursday evening,
August 17.
Paul Emery of Waterloo has been
holidaying with his grandparents
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hodgins and
other relatives in the community.
U.C.W. Unit four members met
at the home of Nora Wissel on
Wednesday evening, August 16 to
make plans for some upcoming ca-
tering.
Decoration day at the Granton ce-
metery was held on Sunday, August
20.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Waugh of t
London were home with grandpar-
ents Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hodgins
on Sunday.
A miscellaneous bridal shower
was held in honour of Kim Knap- '
man at the United Church on
Thursday evening, August 17.
April Bryan conducted some
games and Charlene _Knapman,
Eleanora and Juanita Kop helped
Kim when she opened her gifts.
Hostesses for the pleasant event
were April Bryan and the Kop fami-
ly.

for NDP event
LUCKNOW - The three delegate
positions of the Huron -Bruce New
Democratic Party to the national
convention were hotly contested at
the annual picnic held at the
McQuail farm near Lucknow.
Five people were nominated on
Sunday, August 13. Each of the
nominees gave .a brief speech on
their work in the party.
Elected were Keith Cleveland of
Bervy and Fran and Tony McQuail
of Lucknow. Others nominated
were Cathy MacDonald of Port El-
gin and Dave Machan of Kincar-
dine.
An environmental forum will be
sponsored by the Huron -Bruce New
Democrats. It will be held on No-
vember 15 at Lucknow. Waste and
agricultural wastes will be the
theme. All interested groups and in-
dividuals are invited to attend and
participate.
