Child Evangelism in area homes
EXETER - For five days last
week, about 75 young people from
the area ranging in age from five. to
12 enjoyed a special kind of Bible
School class set up by the Child
Evangelism Fellowship organiza-
tion,
- What makes these classes special
is that they arc put on in the homes
of volunteers from the area church-
es.
"The kids here are very receptive
and good listeners," said CEF's
summer missionary, Mary Lou
Rundle, who recently returned home
from teaching classes in the Thun-
der Bay arca.
The classes were promoted by to --
cal churches but the Child Evangel -
Fellowship group is an inde-
pendant organization and can be
found in 40 communities in Onta-
rio -this summer. The organization
is, however, world-wide and is run
throughout the year.
In. the Exeter area, Rundle taught
out of three hostess homes in Exet.-
er and one near Kirkton. She used a
curriculum provided by the CEF or-
ganization.
The classes involved songs, scrip -
ture memory, Bible stories and a
missionary story which continued
throughout the whole week.
"The stories are the best," agreed
many of the children present last
week.

Lutheran picnic at Dashwood
By Bernice Boyle
DASHWOOD - Zion Lutheran
Church in Dashwood held their an-
nual Sunday school picnic on Sun-
day, August 20, following their
regular church service. Although,
the weather was not too coopera-
tive, all enjoyed a delicious picnic
meal in the Sunday school rooms.
The rain stopped long enough for
the children to enjoy races and
games outside and the adults seemed
to join in with their laughter and
words of encouragement.
The children participated in foot
races as well as in many enjoyable
relays where they got wet even
though the rain had stopped.
All who participated received priz-
es for their efforts and each small
treasure reminded thcm of their
Lord's love for thcm. An afternoon
of ftsllowship was greatly enjoyed
by all who attended!
