On Thursday, Randy, Karen, Ashley and Brandon Wettlaufcr, Marjorie Glanville, Dan, Carol, Karla and Adam Bennewies, Staffa, and Cindy and Trevor Engel, Sea - forth enjoyed an outing to Story- book Gardens, London. The South Hibbert T -ball team enjoyed their windup party at the park on Wednesday evening. All the participants received a tee-shirt compliments of their parents. Spe- cial thanks to Karen Wettlaufer and Marie Chessell for all their time given, working with the team. Frank and Claudette Elliott, host- ed the Elliott reunion at their home on the holiday weekend. Over one hundred relatives attended the reun- ion from Toronto, Hamilton, New York State, Michigan, Kitchener, London, Lambeth, Glansworth, Se- bringville, Stratford, Mitchell and surrounding area. Many from this arca were guests at the Bertens-Vivian wedding on Saturday at Main Street United Church, Mitchell and later at the re- ception in Kirkton Community Centre. Marie Chessell and David Kins- man competed at the Heritage Clas- sic level, held at the Zwcibruckcn Horse Farm, Stouffville, on Satur- d4y, August 12. The purpose of this show is to promote Interprovincial and Interna- tional . . Competition- and in the near -. future, Olympic Competition. It is open to all breeds. Marie placed sixth in showman- ship at the halter, eighth in western pleasure, eighth in horsemanship and sixth for trail. David placed•sixth in horseman- ship and eighth in trail. Cain Templeman spent the week- end at Grand. Bend with Kirk Mahon and his family. Craig seniors invite Ilderton AILSA CRAIG - The Happy Gang Seniors met on August 2 at the Legion Hall. President Levi White welcomed 20 members. He was assisted by Shirley Williams as secretary and Harold Guilfoyle, treasurer. We had a short business meeting. It was decided to invite Ilderton Seniors on September 15 to a des- sert euchre at 1:15 p.m. 1t was also decided not to have a dinner on Sep- tember 27 our usual date as it "is the Masons' turkey and ham supper that evening. The remainder of the afternoon was spent playing Euchre with the following taking prizes: Ladies high - Ruth Guest; Ladies lone hand - Mariam,J.a.vwne;.Ladic&-iow_..Sy-- ble Stephenson; Mens high - Levi White; Mens lone hands - Elmer Walker; Mcns low - Jean McCal- lum.
