Lucan Bible School
LUCAN - Remember back to
last year at'this same time, and
most Lucan residents will remem-
ber the good time that children ages
three to 12 had at the Lucan Com-
munity Vacation Bible School.
Last year, children joined a team
that wanted victory - victory over
prejudice; that wanted to be.cham-
pions - champions of action, cham-
pions over possessions and over_
fears.
This year's Lucan Community
Vacation Bible School has plans to
involve all Lucan and area children
in learning and experiencing more
of the excitement of being "Cham-
pions for Jesus." Because so many
children have joined the VBS team,
three locations are being used this
year.
All children will start the morn-
ing at the Lucan Revival Centre
with music, puppets, and a chal-
lenge. But then Kindergarten aged
children will continue at the Lucan
United Church and children ages
eight to 12 will meet at the Lucan
Scout Hall on market Street, Lu -
can. parents are requested to please
stay with their younger children
until they are safely inside the
building.
From 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., f
an activity -packed VBS programme
will keep every child singing and
playing and working and crafting
and happy. All the Lucan area
churches support this summer -time
community venture. These are all
