Grand Bend starting pitcher Lisa Jennison turned in another strong performance with nine strikeouts. Heather Stockermans hit her first home run for Grand Bend and scored a pair of runs. During the season, Jennison led Grand Bend with seven homers and 22 runs scored. Jill Russell scored 17 runs, Carrie Illman hit two ho- mers and scored 16 runs, Mary Smith scored 16 runs, Misty Zara - nick hit two home runs and scored 14 runs, followed by Laura -Sand- with with 13 runs, Stockermans with one homer run and 12 runs scored, Michelle Smits, .Karric Jen- nison, and Bobi-Jo Whiting each scored 12 runs, Jacquet Brown with 10 runs, Erin Jennison nine runs, Emily Miller with eight runs and Deana Turnbull scored six times. Grand Bend coach Ron Dann said the teams has improved a great deal in pitching and hitting since the start of the season, especially since they had no experienced pitcher or catcher. "I am very proud of every girl on the team and appreciate the assis- tance of all mothers who helped with coaching," said Dann.
