Lions Youth Centre on John street, Thursday night. Lions liaison officer George God - bolt said he was pleased with the turnout of young people to see the new facility. He continued, " The object of the evening was to let the young peo- ple of the community and their par- ents know what we have to offer in this building. I hope those who were here will tell their friends." Godbolt advised that the Youth Centre is available free of charge for any event that youth wish to orga- nize providing one adult is in atten- dance at all times. He added, " If an adult is not available for supervision, that's not a problem. The Lions will provide one. Acthities are not restricted to high school students. Any young person of group with a worthwhile project will be welcomed." The only stipulation is that the youth Centre is cleaned up after each event and left in the same con- dition as it was at the beginning. The Lions rep said the credit for organizing Thursday's event goes to Jenny Rowe who volunteered to as- sist in youth activities when the Youth Centre was being built. He went on to say, "Jenny volun- teered as a leader right from the be- ginning and we certainly appreciate - her help along with that of Wendy Love.
