marriage on April 15, 1989 at
Our Lady pf Mount Carmel
Church, Mount Carmel, Ontario.
The ceremony was officiated by
father Gary Goyeau with There-
sa Young as organist and Julie,
Paul and Jodi Greenwood . as
singers. Wedding party atten-
dants included family and
friends. Attending the Bride
were, Maid of Honour Rosemary
Boyd, London, and Bridesmaids
Teresa Brown, Bedford, Nova
Scotia, Valerie Marcussen, Lon-
don and Tammy Verouden, Nor-
wich. Attending the groom was
best man Robert Pavkeje, Dash-
wood. Ushers were Mark Ryan,
Mt. Carmel, Calvin Willard, Ex-
eter and Mike Ryan, Mt. Car-
mel. Flowers Girls and Ring
Bearers were v1 manda Allen,
Leah Verouden, Danny Mikel
and Rick Millen. A reception
was held at the South Huron
Recreation Centre, Exeter, Onta-
rio. Guests attended from Gi-
rencester, England, Chicago, Al
berta, Nova Scotia, Toronto,
London, Windsor, Stratford,
Mitchell, Seaforth, Exeter, Mt.
Carmel and surrounding area.
After a honeymoon in, Barbados,
the couple will reside in Mount
Carmel.

'Witness for the Prosecution' begins run

1989 Playhouse season opens June 28
GRAND BEND - Audiences at
Huron Country Playhouse will not
have to wait any longer to find out
•who murdered Emily French in
Agatha Christie's famous murder
mystery Witness For the Prosecu-
tion.
The surprise answer will be re-
vealed when the play, opens this
Wednesday, June 28. June 28
marks the Playhouse's 18th open-
ing night and the Huron Country
Playhouse Board of Directors is ex-
pecting some very special guests to

GRANTON - Come and join the
fun this summer when your public
library sponsors Synthesized Thea-
tre's presentation of The Electric
Dream.
The Electric Dream is a musical
comedy that takes place in the mu-
sical laboratory of Professor
Bunch. The Professor with his as-
sistant Barney encounter a series of
bizarre events triggered by a mis-
chievous Bug. The Bug, invisible
only to Bunch and Barney, per§is-
tently interrupts the Professor's
plans for Barney's birthday sur-
prise.
The Synthesized Theatre comes
equipped with an array- of synthe-
sizers, original songs and colourful
props. They have the ability to
make their audiences laugh as they
guide them through a magical
world of make believe.
Sponsored by the Granton Public
Library, with the assistance of the
Outreach Ontario program of the
Ministry of Culture and Communi-
cations, Synthesized Theatre will
present theElectric Dream at the
Granton United Church, Wednes-
day, July 5 at 10:30 a.m.

GUELPH - Judith Miriam Van
Oss of Exeter graduated from the
University of Guelph with' a Bach-
elor of Landscape Architecture
(with Honors).
Some 1,500 graduates received
degrees and diplomas during spring
convocation ceremonies at the uni-
versity, which this year celebrates
its 25th anniversary.
The University of Guelph was
created by an act of Ontario's pro-
vincial legislature in 1964, joining
the traditions and the faculties of
its, three founding colleges -- the
Ontario Agricultural College, the
Ontario Veterinary College and
P.facdonald Institute the forerunner
of today's College of Family and
Consumer Studies. The histories
of these three schools date back
more than a hundred years.
. The university now has four ad-
ditional colleges -- Arts, Social
Science, Physical Science and Bio-
logical Science.
Since its founding, the Universi-
ty of Guelph ha.V granted more than
40,000 undergraduate degrees and
countless diplomas, ce,tificates and
credits. The university now proud-
ly counts Judith Miriam Van Oss
among the rants of its more than
52,000 alumni who live and work
