The Pec Wee Boys beat Usborne 13-1 in Grand Bend Tuesday night, the Pce Wee Girls beat Fullarton 13-9 Friday night, and the Grand Bend Mites outscored Crediton 18-9 in a game that was called after three innings because of rain. All other teams in Grand Bend had their gainer postponed or cancelled because of the wet weather. The Grand Bend Pce Wee Boys were led to victory by Chris Stan - lake, who hit a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning to seal up the victory. Ryan Taylor was the winning pitcher. He gave up only one run and one hit and helped himself out by making some good defensive plays. . Jeriney Wilde also played well for Grand Bend, going three for four at ther plate, (two doubles and a triple), and Troy Stcllingwcrff had two hits in two trips, picking up a single and a double. The win improved their Usborne League record to one win and two • losses. The Pec Wcc Boys played Hibbert at Grand Bend Monday night. Their - next scheduled league game is Mon- day night when they will play at Exeter. The Pec Wee Girl were lead to victory by winning pitcher Tracy Turnbull and Wendy Stockermans. Grand Bend doubled the count, 18-9 on the visitors from Crediton in a game that was called in the third inning because of rain. team captain, also helped the team to victory. The win evens Grand Bends record to 1-1. Their next scheduled league game is tonight, Wednesday, at 7 p.m. when they play Hensall. In the Squirt Division, Exeter 4 defeated Coldstream 2-1 with goals by Peter Franagiscatos and Robert DeVries. The Exeter offence was helped out by Henry Ptall who moved up from the Tyke division, while the defencewas led by Jayden Russell. Exctcr 2 was defeated by a strong Nairn team by a score of 2-0. A strong game was played by Jason Miles and Kim McLean for the lo- cal squad. "Come back here" - Dan Schnellenbergen, of the Exeter Under - 17 boys soccer team looks like he is screaming at Steve Chapde- laine, of the Grand Bend team, to bring the ball back, during their minor socer match last monday night in Exeter. Matt Szabo and Jeremy VanEsbroeck both played a good game. The Exeter Mosquito team trav- elled to Coldstream and beat them 6-1. Three goals were scored by Marty DeBruyn and singles went to Geoff Hann, Chris Mcdonald and Billy Kline. Coldstream scoring chances were limited by the outstanding play of Billy Kline and a strong Ex- eter defence. The Boys Under -18 team played two games, winning both. The first game was against Strathroy, and Exeter won 8-0. Goals were scored by Brent Bell, Ryan Hern and Frank Wulterkens with two each and Tim and Peter McCallister each scored once. The second game was against Delaware and ended with a 3-1 win for Exeter. Two goals were scored by Ryan Hern and one goal by Hen ri DeBruyn.
