ELIMVILLE - The _second meet-
ing of the Elimville "mud Muck-
ers" 4-14 Landscaping Club was
held on May 29, 1989 at a leaders'
home, Linda' Johns. The roll call
was name one way you could beau-
tify your home landscape.
During our meeting we discovered
the immense . planning process
when landscaping properly. To
complete an extensive landscaping
assignment, a scale sketch of the
home's foundation and surrounding
landscape is required. Onthis
sketch, all plantsarc located and
namcd as well as any other useful
information, like wind direction and
-shade cover.
The completion of the final foun-
dation sketch could take up to three
to five rough 'sketches to achieve.
Once the sketch is complete, anoth-
er -sheet of paper is placed on top.
On this sheet, changes to the cur-
rent landscape are made.
The addition and removal of
plants occurs on paper. Upon
achieving a look on paper that is
satisfactory, it is time to landscape
and soon the enjoyment of a beauti-
fully landscaped home will be
yours.
Everyone in the group must com-
plete a foundation sketch of their
home for the next meeting, which
will be held on June 5, 1989. For
this meeting, the Elimville "Mud
Muckers: will be visiting a nur-
sery.

Lucan
Revival Centre
LUCAN - On Thursday, May 25,
in the Clandeboye Room of the
United Church, the disbanded Cpu-
pies Club became the. Christian
Fellowship Group. Now, ,everyone
is welcome:
Bob Patterson; the president, con-
ducted the business meeting.
Because of the unusually success-
ful garage sale, The Christian Fel-
lowship Group will be able to carry
out its own projects or help with
those undertaken by the church.
On Thursday, June 299. Helen and
Bob Patterson invited the group to
their home for a barbecue, as well
as everyone who provided baking
and other help for the garage sale.
Lucan T.V.: will have a reminder
closer to that date.
The singing of "He's Got the
Whole World in His Hands" opened
the devotional part of the meeting.
Freeda Mclanson chose readings
from Ecclesiastes and commented
on them. They stressed many mean-
ingless things in life in contrast. to.
Hebrews 4:12-13, that stresses the
value of the word of God. •
Dorothy Dedels introduced Sheila
Duncan, who is dance Co-ordinator
for Continuing Education at the
University of Western Ontario. ,
For the remainder of the evening,
Scottish danc'ng was explained,
demonstrated an even performed by
the group. A stone map of Scot-
land on display had crests, tartans
and names of clans.
Clothing for both a male and fe-
male dancer was passed around. The
weight of a plaid skirt is surprising:
the beauty of the woman's broach is
appealing.
Mrs. Duncan's broach, a gift from
her father, has a Cairngorm, set in
it. This is an amber stone from the
Cairngorm mountains.
Scottish tunes filled the air,
everything from simple jigs to ele-
gant dance selections.
Dennis Dedels showed a selected
number of slides from a recent trip
to Scotland.
Thanks to Dorothy and Freeda,
the group dined on chicken pasties,
farfor bridies, shortbread, oatmeal
squares, gingerbread andwhipped
cream, as more Scottish music was
enjoyed.
This was a memorable evening.
