Other members'of the com- mittee are Ron Christie of Staffa and Glen Walters of Dutton. The federal representative is Frank Web- ster of Agriculture Development Branch. Other committee members and a provincial government repre- sentative are still to be named by the Ontario government. The Producer Review Commit- tees have been set up under the Ca- nadian Crop Drought Assistance Program (CCAP). Committees have been established in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Onta- rio. In Saskatchewan and Ontario, committees will consist of six pro- ducers and one representative each from the federal and provincial gov- ernments. In Alberta and Manitoba, committees will consist of four producers and one representative each from the federal and provincial governments. As their first order of business, the committees will finalize details on the appeal procedure. Further in- formation will be announced fol- lowing the first meeting of Com- mittee Chairpersons. Committees will also make rec- ommendations to the Ministers on how 'payments should be made on forage crops and unneeded acreage. Committees will work with CCDAP staff to review yield data which will be used to establish acreage payment rates for crops in each drought zone. These acreage payment rates will be used to make final payments to all eligible pro- ducers in July. To date, the CCDAP Administration has sent out about 120,000 applications to producers and received back over 100,000. Over 43,000 interim pay- ment cheques have been mailed to producers. A total of about 65,000 producers will receive interim cheques. ` CLASSIFIED ADS `s e,.PAYOFF!_ PHONE 235-1331 Break Biddulph records - Biddulph Central Hathoway presents ribbons at last week's Greenlee, J. Chapman said , "One session was devoted to the public percep- tion.of policing. So many police forces "run scared" of the media. We are fortunate to have the rap- port we do with the media at home." She added, " Most of us were shook up to learn Durham had set- tled for $47,000 per annum for a first class constable."
