STRATFORD - Last week,
South Huron District High
School's Senior Girls' Soccer team •
travelled to Stratford for two league
games. The Panthers returned with
one win and one loss.
Last Tuesday, two goals by Shar-
on DcBruyn gave South Huron a 2-
1 win over Stratford Northwestern.
Following a 1-1 draw after the
first half of play, DcBruyn got her
second, of the day with very little
time remaining on the clock mak-
ing theYanthcrs a winner:
On Thursday, the Panthers net
Stratford Central. The girls played
a tough game against the Rams
holding them to a 0-0 deadlock in
the first half of the game. Unfortu-
nately, Central got the break and
took the game 1-0.
The Panthers played their final
regular season league game on
Monday at home against Norwell.

highlights the 1989 Molson Export
Supersedes.
"Our involvement at Sauble is an
indication of c commitment to
motorsports:, explains Rob Rat -
tray, Cntario Promotions Coordina-
tor for Molson Ontario. "It enables
us to reach our main target market
for Molson Export through the Su-
persedes format".
This first-year involvement of
Molson has Sauble Speedway own-
er Bruce Bennett eagerly anticipat-
ing the coming season. "It is very
exciting to have a company the
stature of. Molson involved at Sau-
ble Speedway.
The level of competition and in-
creasing interest in motorsports
make for a great family entertain-
ment package". Indeed, the family
theme presents• itself both in the
competition' and spectator seg-
ments.
While many father -and -son com-
binations exist on the track, women
make up roughly 42 percent of the
spectator audience at any given race
in Ontario. "The wives never miss
a race", declares Bennett. "We have -
seen the female numbers increase
steadily, and they've become in-
creasingly knowledgeable about
motorsports"..
Bennett has seen many changes
in his fifteen years at Sauble Speed-
way. In the past five years, they
have spent over $800,000 upgrad-
ing the track. "Essentially, every-
thing is changed except the pave-
ment", says Bennett. "New
washrooms, safety fences and the
construction of a cement wall will
provide greater safety and conven-
ience for the growing number of
motorsports enthusiasts".
The four -race Molson Export Su-.
perscries for late -model sportsmen
will feature 1989 Thunderbirds,
Monte Carlos, and Cameros. The
races will occur each holiday Sun-
day throughout the season: May 21,
July 2, August 6, and September 3,
1989, starting at 7:00 p.m.
