League wraps up year
EXETER - The Exeter Ladies
Dart League wrapped up its 1988-
89 season with an annual awards
banquet at the Three AAA Restau-
rant in Exeter last Tuesday night.
Taking the regular season.cham-
pionship with 73 games and the
playoff championship were the
Humming Birds. The team was
comprised of; Marg Wragg, Terry
Heywood, Ann Armstrong, and An-
tia Hunter.
Taking second place during the
regular season with 70 games were
the Hawks, Dorothy Reynolds,
Shirley Snell, Betty Bowerman, and
Olive Osland.
The Whiskey Jacks finished in
third spot during the season with 68
games. Making up the Whiskey
Jacks were; Julie Higgins, Esther
Hillman, Jan Scdlak, and Jean
Simpson.
Barb Hearn, Isa Smith, Maria
Wall, and Nancy Beaver, snaking up
the Vultures, took fourth spot dur-
ing the regular season, taking 66
games along the way.
The Loonies finished in fifth spot
during the season, with 64 games,
the Doves were in the sixth with 50
games, the Wrens took seventh
spot with 48 games and the Blue-
birds finished in eighth spot with
41 games.
The Wrens, Annie Lawson, Marie
Ferguson, Irene Jackson and Eva
Treibner, won the consolation,
championship during the playoffs.
The regular high takeout was Ter-
ry Heywood with 83 and the high
takeout spare was Sharon Campbell
with 58.
The high score for a regular was
140 by Marg Wragg and the high
score for a spare was also 140 by
Mary Masse.
The most games by a regular was
37 by Betty Bowerman and the
most games by a spare was Marg
Foster with 10.

Coppettes win - The oppettes won the league championship of
the Lucan ladies bowling league. Back, left, Pat MacDonald, Mer-
na Scott and Joan Scott. Front, Deb Pearce, Edie Burt and Audrey
Watt.
Sputniks win playoffs - The playoff championship of the Lucan
ladies bowling league was won by the Sputniks. Back, left, Lor-
raine Mosurinjohn, Sandra Disher and Linda Hibbert. Front, Joyce
Sovereign, May Murphy and Beulah Storey.

A Champs - This team won the A championship in the Colleen's
Ladies Bowling League at the Lucan Lanes this past season.

High average - Ron Dann, of the Tuesday Night Men's League at
the Zurich Town and Country Lanes won the high average award
and was given this barometer at the league's awards banquet last
Saturday night. -

Monday Night Ladies League at Zurich Town and Country Lanes
this past season. Front row, (left to right), Donna Webster, Shel-

B Champs - This team won the B championship in the Colleen's
Ladies' Bowling League at the Lucan Lanes this past season.

Outstanding Bowler).
Big Brothers plaque - The leagues at Zurich Town and Country
Lanes were given a special plaque for there participation in Bowl
for Big Brothers this past season. Gord Nichols, left, of Big Broth-
ers, presents the plaque to Heather Forrest, Patty Green, and 011ie
Edwards, at the banquet for the leagues at the Hensall Arena "
A Big Brother booster - Dave Werrett of the South Huron Big
Brother and Big Sister Association was. at the Lucan men's bowl-
ing league banquet Friday night to thank Bill Mathers for his
pledge contribution of $1,500 during this year's Big Brothers
bowling marathon. Above, Werrett at the left makes the presenta-
tion to Mathers.
