This year approxi- mately 70 students will participate in the Huron County regional sci- ence fair from over twenty public and separate schools within the county.• - On Friday, April 21 students will begin .setting up their projects in the- afternoon and evening. Judging begins on Saturday, April 22, at 9:00 a.m. and continues throughout the day. The judges will have a difficult job choosing the top. projects in each category and then determining which students will advance to the Canada Wide Science Fair in St. John's, Newfoundland, from May 13-21, 1989. This ycara special Science Olym- pics will be held. While one half of the students arc being judged, the other students will be adapting their scientific knowledge in activity oriented challenges. The Scicncc Fair is open to the public from 5• p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. The singing of the 23rd Psalm was part of the message of "The Shepherd" as Jesus said, 'I am the Good Shepherd, my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." We are the Com- munity of the Good Shepherd. The Sunday Church School fol- lowed this same theme with an aim of helping the children understand the image of the shepherd and how it has brought strength to disciples down through the agcs. The Sunday School teachers are reminded of their meeting, Thursday evening at 7:30 The Gone Fishin' group will also meet on Thursday at 5 p.m. as well as the Caregivers Support Group at 7 p.m. .. Our Andrew Street entrance is still closed due to construction. The work is progressing with the elevator shaft nearing completion and' preparation work on the new washroom and cloakroom has be- gun. Next week the Christian Devel- opment Committee will be hosting a.Brunch following the service, and Sunday April 30 will be the Oddfel- low Service. Plans for the U.C.W. smorgas- bord luncheon, May 4 are now well underway.
