Mini Black Hawks end
season with two victories
HURON PARK - Stephen Town-
ship Mini Black Hawks season
came to an end after playing in two
close game on the weekend. They
played three times in the previous
week and lost 5-2 to Hensall March
22 in an exhibition game, they beat
St. Marys 5-1 at the Stephen town-
ship Arena March 23 and beat Hen-
sall 3-1, March 25 in a league
game.
The Mini Hawks led 1-0 after two
periods in the March 25 game but
scored twice late in the final period
to steal the win.
Billy Connor opened the scoring
at 7:46 of the first period for Ste -

In the third, Hensall got even on
Bierling's goal from Taylor but the
Mini Hawks got the winners at
11:38 from Connors again from
Parson and Pres Lavicr picked up an
unassisted insurance goal with just
nine seconds left.
Tom Connor was superb between
the pipes for the Mini Hawks.
It was the first time Hensall had
lost all season. .
March 23 against St. Marys, Ste-
phen got two first -period goals
from Andy Glavin at 7:50 and Tim
Morgan from Lavier and Parsons
and 8:53 to give the locals a 2-0
lead after one period.
Lavier's unassisted goal, the only
goal of the second, gave Stephen a
3-1 heading into the final frame.
In the third, Tyler Todd scored his
first goal of the year for Stephen,
from Morgan and Parsons, St. Mar-
ys Tom Taylor final got one past
Connor at 3:33 and Lavier rounded
Dart league
winds up
HURON PARK - The Albatross
Dart League has now wrapped up
.another season of play.
The Black Sheep came out on top
as league champs with the team of
Steve DeGrace, Bev Julian, Cathy
Glover and Scott McPherson.
The league runners up were
U.P.S. consisting of Monty Scott,
Shirley Ann Rose, Stuart McGre-
gor and Wendy Gregoire.
After an exciting round of
playoffs, the Angels came.
"A" champions. They are
Snell, Paul Mussen, Corry Pr ,
and Rick Sokolowski.
Playoff consolation winners were
U.P.S.
Individual awards for high score
went to Al Lavier 160 and Shirley
Ann Rose 133. High take outs
went to Steve Surete 92 and Diane
Well 80.
Carolyn Horner took most take
outs for ladies and Steve DcGracc
for men.
Congratulationsto all the win-
ners. Special thanks to Linda
Downing and to Jim and Julie Park-
er for letting. us play in their "liv-
ing room."

Hawks in the March 22 game in
Hensall as the lost 5-2 but only had
five shots on goal in the entire
game.
Scoring for Hensall were; Blaine
Moir from Jason Campbell, Camp-
bell from Bierling and Moir, Bier -
ling from Moir, Greg Keys from
Moir and McLinchcy and Keys from
Moir with 16 seconds left in the
game.
Replying for the Mini Hawks
were; Andy Glavin unassisted with
two seconds left in the first period
and Lavier unassisted at 6:11 of the
second.
