Verses to lose weight Dear Sir: With respects to health and to "lighten", their day your readers may enjoy my latest contribution to our Weight Watcher's class in Exeter. A Weight Watcher's Dream I'm having a Weight Watcher's Dream you see I've reached my goal and I'm on T.V. I followed the plan till I got slim Now they're praising me for the shape I'm in. 1 drank my water till I almost burst My friends all questioned my con- stant thirst Saintsbury by Mrs. Heber Davis SAINTSBURY - Easter Day Ser- vice at St. Patrick's was at 11:00. Rev. Beverly Wheeler was in charge assisted by Nadine Bedell and Julie Carroll as server, Sheryl Carroll provided special music. After Rev. Wheeler spoke to the children on the true meaning of Easter - not just bunnies and Easter eggs. She proceeded with the Holy Communion service and donned a shawl and portrayed Mary Magda- lene when she arrived at the tomb where they had laid Jesus. She held the attention of all present. The church was decorated with flowers in loving memory of the late Elmer Greenlee of Exeter by Earl Greenlee and family and Easter lilies in loving memory of Howard Jordan, late of Lucan and Voyle Jor- dan's mother placed there by Voyle. The service was a fitting close to the Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil services held in Granton and Kirkton and attended by several members from Saintsbu- ry. Miss Marylou Tindall, Missis- sauga spent the past week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Tindall and Robert. On Friday the Tindalls had dinner with Mary Davis. Sunday at noon Mary was guest with Hugh and Hazel Davis and vis- ited her latest twins, Star and Travis Davis. Later she joined the Barker family Easter dinner at the home of Jean and Tom Richardson, London. There were 16 present. My eating habits I've changed of late Instead of a platter I use a plate No more ice cream to a soup bowl's brim I weigh and measure that's why I'm slim No more liquor, cigarettes or booze To some old friends that's real bad news Such change they said is _really scary'. I hope to be late with my obituary. I exercise now and go for a walk Maybe once or twice around the block No longer a prisonerof the old T.V. With chips and snacks for my com- pany. Nourishing menus both tasty and wise Supply all my health needs and keep me alive Now rarely if ever do I over indulge Knowing my waist line would soon start to bulge Itisn't easy, the truth I'll share At times this dream is a real night mare - But thanks to Weight Watcher's winning team You can lose weight too and that's no dream: Harry A.
