Happy Anniversary
• Mom and Dad C.
Well ma and I"ve been wedded for an
even 50 years;
We've hada heap o' gladness. and !
s'pose our share of tears.
But we're thankful for the blessings
that the Master sent our way;
And we're looking for our children
home to celebrate' the day.
Ma's voice gets a little shaky as she
hums an 9Id time tune;
As for me, I'm not so youngish as
I watch the lar off moon.
But my heart is just as lovin : and
I know that Ma will say
That she loves me more than ever
on our Golden Wedding Day!
Other folks may live in mansions,
count their wealth in heaps of gold;
But there isn't one among them
that's more happy when they're old.
Ma and I are old and wrinkled
but our hearts are young and gay:
For we've lived and loved and
waited for our Golden Wedding Day.
Love from your family
