Throughout this visit we Were shown the several steps of processing wbol, teasing, carding, and spinning, each of which. We were able to try on our own. ' We were able to see two methods of hand spinning wool the drop spindle (an _old unpopular way of spinning) and the spinning wheel (more conventional and quicker way of spinning). Although we were unable to dye we were shown wool which had been dyed using many different dyes. After showing us the process of wool we were shown some gar- ments made from wool both kn1itted and weaved. Lucan #3 would like to thank Willy Drost for her time and inter- esting demonstration.
