and while the soccer season is still-_ -.,•
two months away, Tony
Mennen said the association may
take.drastic measures if no coaches
arc found.
"If we can't find coaches for the
team thcn we won't operate a team
for the season. We have never been
that desperate in the past and we
would hate to scc it happen this
year," said Mennen.
Mcnncn went on to say that if
anybody is interested they can have
the choice of team and players.
Divisions with players ranging in
age, from 5-17 arc available on a
first-come, first-served basis.
The coaching job description is
not very demanding as well. Men-
nen said the season starts the first
week in May and runs until the end
of August and it would entail one
practice in Grand Bend each week -
and one gamo either in Grand Bend
or on the road, (in the Grand Bend
arca)
If somebody out there is a little
hesitant about coaching because of
limited finances, Mcnncn said the
association will help out whenever
possible.
Player and coach registration will
Like place at the Grand Bend Legion
Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m.-2
p.m., but if anybody decides they
arc interested in coaching before
that time Mcnncn-asks that you
please contact him at 238-2052.
