Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vandeworp

nounce the marriage of their
daughter, Adrienne Elaine to
Steven Talbot, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Talbot, Bayfield.
The marriage took place on Feb-
ruary 12, 1989 in Reno, Neva-
da, U.S.A.

CREDITON - The Crediton
United Church Women met on
Thursday evening March 2.
Evelyn Pickering and Nola Faist
were in charge of the devotions. A
skit, entitled "What Hat Shall I
Wear?" was presented by Evelyn,
Nola and Mrs. Peebles.
Peebles sang two solos between
scenes. Linda Finkbeiner presided
for the business. Roll call was an-
swered by naming an I•rish song.
Dates for London Conference,
Westminster weekend and Alma
College one day event were given.
April Event will be at St. Johns
Church in Stratford on April 18.
Rainbow of Quilts at South Huron
High School on April 8 and 9.
As we have been invited to Cen-
tralia on April 6.our April meeting
will be Wednesday, April 5.
Hostesses for lunch were Jean-
nette Lamport and Irene Schlenker.
World Day of Prayer service was
held in our church on Friday,
March 3 with the ladies from
Mount Carmel and Greenway as
our guests.
The theme of the service being
"Lord, Teach Us to Pray."
Rev. Deb Carter from Centralia
presented a very interesting mes-
sage on prayr.
Guest soloist. was Miss Trudi
Bormath and her accompanist from
Exeter.

Separate School in Exeter is
presenting their annual theatrical
performance at the school on
Thursday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m.
This year the program "On
Broadway" will star the students
in grades five, six, seven and
eight.
Admission is a $2 donation._

KIRKTON - Shirley and Lee Paul
reported home from Hawaii after
spending 14 glorious days in Para-
dise. They had a wonderful group of
44 seasoned travellers along with
them.
Some of the people from the Ex-
eter - Clinton area were: Brenda
Hennessey, Evelyn Brenner, Lloyd
and Dorothy Knight, Hedy Devine,
Grace Miller, Case and Margaret
Kuiper, Mary Neil, Richard and
Agnes Kaptein, Robert and Beatrice
Welsh, Harold and Jean Schroeder,
Annie Zielman, Hilda Vanderboek,
Lorna Nielson, Marion Levine and
Hugh and Kathy Filson.
From the Grand Cove Estates
came Hazel Irwin, Margaret Crai-
gie, Helen James and Mildred, Kane.
The rest of the group consisted of
people from the St. Marys arca.
They all came home "tanned and
terrific" from the Islands in the Pa-
cific. -

Missing Piece Meets the Big O."
"The missing piece sat alone
waiting for someone to come
along and take it somewhere..."
Based on the book by Shel Sil-
verstein, this is the story of the
Missing Piece's search •for happi-
ness. Follow along with the Miss-
ing Piece as it tries to fit into oth-
er shapes; that is until The Big 0
comes along. This funny, delight-
ful story will touch its audience
and dazzle them with acrobatics,
dances and songs.
Sponsored by the Huron County
Public Library, with the assistance
of the Outreach Ontario program of
the Ministry of Culture and com-
munications, Touring Players
Theatre will perform at the Kirkton
branch on March 15, 1989 at 2:30
p.m. Admisison $1.00 per person.
Generic Theatres, founded in
1986 is co -directed by Eleonore
Prokop and Michael Quinsey. The
company operates throughout the
year presenting plays for both chil-
dren and adult audiences in its own
• theatre. Also offered are ongoing
classes in acting, movement and
voice.
