die Munro has recently announced grants to two groups in Huron
County. -
The Huron Historic Gaol will receive 51,229 from the Ministry
for the installation of a security system, Thc Van Egmond Founda-

ment and materials. • .
The Township of Morris has received a grant from the Ministry of
Housing's Ontario Home Renewal Program in the amount of
519,938 and is eligible for a total grant of up to 559,938. Under
•Ilousing's Building Action Administration Fund, the village of
Brussels will receive a total of $6,750 to enable them to update their
buildings department with computerized equipment.
He added, " The present provincial
priority setting process used to de-
termine which projects receive fund-
ing is biased against preventative
programs. The Ministry of Natural
Resources needs to financiallyrec-
ognize those,conservation authori-
ties with strong preventative pro-
grams and low cost capital projects.
Those conservation authorities with
expensive capital projects .for the
protection of property and lives also
requires funding, but not all of it."
