A Musical Experience - The Grade 5 students at St. Boniface School performed a dress rehearsal of
"Gepetto and his Friends" for a Zurich Public School audience Friday. The grade 6 class are perform-
ing excerpts from Grease and the grade 7s have their version of West Side Story to complete this
year's operetta.
Queensway invited to Blue Water
HENSALL - Monday morning
several residents enjoyed tea in the
sunroom while listening to a tape
of the Hensall United church ser-
vice. We appreciate having these
tapes provided for us. In the after-
noon the Kippen U.C.W. played
Bingo with the residents.
Reverend Van Essen led our wor-
' ship service Tuesday afternoon with
Zurich thowers - It would seem as if these Zurich .Public School
students had little trouble reaching the net during a free throw
competition against Hensall Public School and St. Boniface Separ-
' ate School. Top scorers from Zurich Jaime McGee (left), Dwayne
McNab, Wesley Forgie, and Paula Watson will be eligible for com-
petition at the regional championships.

Wednesday drawing club met and
everyone produced pictures pertain-
ing to Easter.
"Shane" was the featured movie,
Thursday afternoon for those resi-
dents not travelling to Bluewater
Rest Home for the Euchre and
Crokinole party. Thank you to
Elva Forrest, Eileen Rannie and
Helen Anderson for being volunteer
driverson this outing. We had a
good time playing games with
Bluewater residents and doing lots
of visiting.
The Harmony Kings Quartet en-
tertained that evening at our month-
ly birthday party. We wished them
luck in their competition in Sea -
forth. Birthday greetings to Mabel
Chowen, Olive Heal, Harold Pen -
hale, Esther Barry and Christine
Taylor. Thank you to Marj Steckle
of the Zurich Mennonite Church for
providing the birthday cake and the
ladies auxiliary members for assist-
ing to serve.
Resident Council met Friday
morning and in the afternoon Agri-
culture Club viewed a film entitled
"Selling out" regarding foreign
ownership of our land. We .dis-
cussed the difference between absen-
tee owners and foreign ownership,
family farms and for some of us
how many years our farms had been
in the family.
Coming Events at Queensway are
March 10 at 6:30 International Day,
a presentation by Rosemary Scott
on Poland. March 17 at 7 p.m. St.
Patricks Dance with George Matho-
nia, Ivan Norris and friends.

Annual operetta tonight

ZURICH - The senior grade pu-
pils of St. Boniface School will be
presenting their annual Operetta
called, "A Musical Experience" in
the gym tonight March 1 at 7:30
p.m. Admission is $3.
The play was previewed by pu-
pils of Zurich Public School Tues-
day afternoon.
Skating Club Carnival
Mark your calendars for the annu-
al Zurich and area figure skating
club Carnival on Sunday, March
12 at 2 p.m. at the Zurich arena.
This year's theme will be "Crys-
tal Fantasy" and tickets are on sale
at $3 for adults; children $1 and pre-
school kids are free. Guest skaters
will be Kathy Merner and Paul
Arms, plus Cathy and Jimmy
Judge.
Bingo
A good crowd attended a Bingo to
raise money for Brother Bob Mittle-
holtz at the arena Sunday afternoon.
The winner of the $100 prize was
Linda Genttner of Dashwood.
Midget hockey
The Midget Hockey team had a
busy week travelling by bus to
Shallow Lake last Tuesday night
to play their third playoff game -
which they lost.
On Friday night the Shallow
Lake team came to Zurich for a
fourth game - which Zurich won!
On Saturday it was back to Shal-
low Lake for a final last show
down, but Zurich lost after giving
them a run for their money with a
final score of 3-2.

hockey recently, and is now going
around on crutches due to a broken
leg.

turned home from a two week,vaca-
tion in Florida. •
A day of recollection will be held
at St. Peter's parish hall, St. Jo-
seph on Wednesday, March 8 from
10 a.m. to 2' p.m. All ladies are
invited to bring a brown bag lunch.
Coffee will be provided. Speaker
for the day will be Father Morris.

Follow the Guide
When you get your tax return this year, you'll probably notice
some changes: To help you fill it out, your 1988 Tax Guide
gives you step-by-step instructions as well as tax tips and
examples. It highlights, in yellow, the changes to this year's
return. There's also a series of special guides, like the Child Care
Expense Guide and the Employment Expense Guide. Check
your general Tax Guide for the list of.special guides available.

Changes to look for
in your Tax Guide, you'll find a detailed description of how
the new _t, credits work. For example, personal exemptions

You may not have to fill out
the whole form
If you have no income and are only claiming a Child Tax
Credit or the Federal Sales Tax Credit. you dont have'to
complete the entire form in order to receive your refund. Check
the Tax Guide for instructions on how these credits -affect you.
There's help if you need it
When you get your -new tax return. open it•to make sure
you have the forms and guides you need. If you didn't receive
a mr„r., rhpy're available at your Post Office or District
Tax Office. There are also community volunteer programs that
offer special help to those who need.it, and seasonal tax
assistance centres set up in shopping centres and other locations
across Canada. Or. you can call the toll free number for your
• area, listed in the back of your Tax Guide. .

Be sure to fill in your, Social Insurance Number, along with
