Craig UCW meets
AILSA CRAIG - The ladies who
attended the February meeting of
the Ailsa Craig United Church
Women discovered that they had
more creative abilities than they re-
alized. Mary Sutherland supplied
the group with ribbons, pieces of
net, bits of lace as well as some
potpourri and each personapplied
her imagination and made a Valen-
tine sachet for herself.
This activity fit right in with the
worship theme "Love Yourself"
with Barbara Rosser as pianist.
The hymn "Saviour Like a Shep-
herd Lead Us" was sung and Mar-
garet Wilson gave a meditation on
the theme.
During the business meeting pre-
sided over by Donna .Cox, Mary
Sutherland reminded everyone
about the Enrichment '89 Work-
shop that will be held in the Ailsa
Craig United Church on Saturday,
February 25.
Plans were made for the annual
March 17 roast beef supper.
During the social time Vcrlyn
Campbell served strawberries and
angel cake, a very suitable dessert
for Valentine's Day.
The next U.C.W. meeting will
be held in the Sunday School room
on March 14 at 8 p.m.
