Exeter • Lincoln Hawks Bantams played to a 4-4 tie Saturday in Strathroy. Peter Gib- son opened scoring from nice pass from Mark McDonald. Mike Clay from Steve Campbell mid -way through sccond period. Tony Arm- strong scored the third on a shot. from the point passed back by Pe- ter Gibson. Mark Lynn put Exeter.ahead 4-3 on passing play from linemate Steve Campbell. Strathroy tied the game with 3.14 remaining in the period. Both teams played mid -ice hockey until the period expired. It was a very strong' play by all and a good effort by Shawn McFalls in net. Exeter Lincoln Hawks enter- tained St. Marys at home and de - Broncos lead EXETER = The Exeter Broncos lead Lambeth two games to one in their best -of -five playoff series. The Broncos travelled to Lamb- eth on Wednesday and skated to a well-deserved 5-2 win. • =. Tweens open playoffs with loss HENSALL - Exeter Tweens lost their first playoff game 8-5 Satur- day in Hensall against Mitchell. Mitchell got three in the first period before Michelle Bowerman scored for Exeter, assisted by Jill Sararas to end the first period. Mitchell got two more goals be- fore Christine Morgan scored the first of her. two goals of the game. After that they exchanged goal for goal.
