Lewis said he . plans to follow in their footsteps by winning the heavyweight cham- pionship of the world. Petites and Tweens play each other EXETER = The Exeter Petites and Tween Ringette teams locked horns Saturday and the Tweens won'4-1 in a fun game. Both teams played a good game. The Petites- got some extra help from coaches Doug Min- ers, Alan Hodgert and Michele Hod- gcrt, due to a lack_ _of Mayers on their bench. Twcen scoring came from Lisa Forest with three and Jill Sararas. Eighteen teams came from all over Huron County to compete in winning prizcs in four divisions. The teams played a round robin of five matches before going into, the semi finals, giving the teams lots of volleyball playing time. . At the end of the day the win- ners surfaced. Taking the 'A' prize was the Black Scorpion team with captain Dorkco Chansamone from this area with runncrsup being Lucy Turcottc's Brunos team from Goderich. The first period was scoreless and the locals found themselves behind 2-0 heading into the final frame. The comeback started at 4:01 of the third when Jamie Rolph scored from captain Scott Parsons. Just over a minute later, Parsons deadlocked the game when he scored from Mike Burton. But it didn't stay tied long be- cause just nine seconds later, Par- sons picked up the game -winning goal from Jeff Empringham and Mike Strang.
