• Hensall Galaxy Girls - These members of the Hensall Figure Skat- ing Club will play Galaxy Girls in the Hensall Skating. Novice By Susan Hartman HENSALL - This past weekend Hensall Novices took part in the Zurich Minor Hockey tournament. Their first game put them against the Zurich Red team, which proved to be an easy win 6-1. In their second game they met up with Seaforth and came home with a 3-1 win. Game three saw Hensall facing off against Huron Park, with yet another win at 5-1. In their fourth game they emerged victorious against a very strong Sarnia O.B. team, -coming out on top at 5-2. The fifth game which was for the A -championship the Novices came up against Sarnia R.T. The boys played a very strong game, but went down 5-3. Mark Bell brought in all three Hensall goals. Hensall Atoms The Hensall Atoms travelled to Goderich Sunday and came home 2- 1 winners in a very hard fought match. Scoring Hensall's goals were Ja- in finals son Camprtcll and Ryan Kyle. J. • Kinettes The Hensall Kinettes are holding their Annual Suitcase Dance March 23. Entertainment will be provided by "Smokey Hollow" and the hold- er of the lucky ticket will spend Easter weekend in Las Vegas with 5200 U:S. in cash. You must be present to win. Tickets are 525 per couple and are available from Kinette members or by calling 262-3545. United Church There will be a time for fellow- ship after next Sunday's service. Special offerings will be made on February 26 for the Canadian Food Grains Bank. The church is also collecting old newspapers for Club Huron,and Ex- eter organization- that works with the handicapped. Shuffleboard Top shufflers in Hensall on Feb- ruary 7 were Dane Kyle, Percy Campbell - and Alf Ross, with scores of 421, 389 and 335 respec- tively. Kathy Bray opened the meeting with the theme Love and a poem "Valentine Days". Kay Cunning - ton read the Scripture Lesson 1 Corinthians chapter 13. A reading "From the Heart" was given by Ju- dith Parker. Kay Cunnington and Judith Parker received the offering with prayer by Kathy Bray. Kathy Bray introduced guest speaker Bev Brown, co-ordinator of volunteers and home support pro- grams with Town & Country Homemaker. in Wingham. She gave a lot of information. She was thanked and presented with a gift by Judith Parker. Kay Cunnington closed the worship service with prayer. June Stewart thanked the pro- gram committee and opened the business part of the meeting with a poem "There's Sunshine In A Smile". The Tyro Boys Ban- quet on March 23 was mentioned. The World Day of Prayer will be held on Friday, March 3 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Reformed Church on Hu- ron St. Exeter. Westminster weekend will be held June 9 to 11. Our ladies will be entertaining other ladies' groups in April. We sang "Unto The Hills" and June closed the meeting with prayer. Group W served lunch and a so- cial time was spent. Church News The first Sunday in Lent Church Service was conducted by Rev. Sheila Macgregor. The Seasonal Colour is purple. Bill Rohde as Clerk of Session called Jack Hodgen forward and Res) Sheila inducted him as a new elder, Alan Hodgert and L.ec Hodgert were inducted to the Board of Stewards. Rev. Sheila read the 'Scripture Luke 4:1-13, and Deuteronomy 26:1-11. She told the children a story "Jesus Had A Talk With The Devil" also "Marbles and Macaro- ni." The text was from Deuteronomy 26:6-9. The Meditation was "A Letter to the Congregations of Elimville and Thames Road from your sister Mamphele". Coming Events On Friday February 17 at 10 a.. "Women of the Bible" study group at the manse. On Wednesday, February 15 at 7 p.m. the Explorer girls will meet at Elimville. The Official Board Meetir7, will be held February 22 at 8 p.m. at Elimville United Church.
