on Sunday, February 5, Rev. Be-
verley Wheeler's message- was
about the power of the Holy Spirit.
and being called to serve God.
The ,lessons were read by Cathie
Wessman and the minister. A time
of fellowship followed the service.
At Granton United Chutch on
Sunday, February 5, Rev. Bruce
Pierce entitled his sermon Four
Kinds of Profanity. ` The lessons
were read from Exodus 20 . and
James 2 and Holy Communion
was celebrated. Cheryl Fraser was
the bulletin steward.
On Sunday afternoon; the Sun-
day School enjoyed a swim party
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.. Eric
Westman.

The St. Thomas A.C.W. met at
the home"of Jean Noon on Thurs-
day evening, February 2. The co-
ordinator Irene Roloson read about
Candlemas Day which is afestival
celebrated on February 2.
Marlene French gave the -scrip-
ture reading, and Mrs. Roloson
read a meditation on the theme the
Burning Bush. Several poems and
readingswere given by those
present from a collection of Mrs.
Noon's mother.
During the business, plans were
made for the next meting, and for a
swim party on February 19. Mrs.

February 1. Leader Marilyn Hum-

from Romans 8 verse 28, and the
lesson thoughts about being happy
Christians and seeing God in all cir-
cumstances, closing with prayer.
Following the business discus-
sion, Elsie Dann was in charge of
the program which was taken from
the Mandate on the Chaplain to the
Streets; She concluded with a
poem God's Extras. After prayer
and the grace, lunch was served by
Mrs. Humphrey and the hostess.
Crediton WI to
host 4-H girls
CREDITON - The next meeting
of the Crediton Women's Institute
will be held Wednesday, February
15 at7p.m._
The_meeting will get underway_
with.a pot luck supper as. Institute
members host the 4-H girls and
their mothers. The WI sponsors 4-
H activities.
