The carnival will go Sunday at the South Huron Rec Centre at 2 p.m. • Lincoln Hawk pick up one point in two games LUCAN - The Exeter -Lincoln Hawk Bantams picked up one point in two weekend games, losing 2-0 tri Lucan Saturday and playing St. Marys to a 7-7 draw Sunday. Saturday's game was a strange one, but well played by both teams. Exeter outshot the home team 43- 28 but were shutout by Paul Acres. Shawn McFalls stopped many shots in the Exeter net, but allowed only two to get behind him and got the loss. On Sunday, Exctcr opened thc scoring when Peter Gibson scored from Mark McDonald and Jeremy Brock. St.. Marys scored four quick goals and Exctcr managed to get one back - by Jamie Steeper, from Brad Thompson: Thompson then got an- other back from Steeper and Kevin Johns. Mark Lynn then tied the game, from Brent Jesney and Campbell. After St. Marys took a three goal lead, Exeter fought back on goals by Al McFalls from Gibson, Lynn from Campbell and Nick Szabo and McDonald tied the game with 31 seconds left from Gibson and Brock. Legion Pee Wees take lead in OMHA playdown series with Chatham EXETER - Thc Exctcr Legion Pec Wecs took a 1-0 lead in their best -of -three, OMIIA playdown se- ries with Chatham by winning the opening game of the series 4-0 at the Rec Centre last Wednesday night. On Sunday, the locals played a Minor Pec Wee team from London at the -London Gardens and won 4- 3. Against Chatham, all four goals were scored in the second period and goaltender Jeff Empringliam made many fine stops to record the shutout. O'Rouke's two medals help Western to second SYRACUSE - South Huron Dis- trict High School graduate Lee O'Rourke took part in a Haack and field meet in Syracuse, New York, on the weekend and helped her Uni- versity of Western Ontario Wom- en's track team to a second place fin ish. O'Rourke helped herself to a pair of bronze medals as well, placing third in thc triple jump with a leap of 11.56 metres and third in the long •jump with a distance of 5.70 metres. O'Rourkc's effort in the triple jumped earned her the beat jump of the year by a Canadian tativasity woman.
