February 1, Me Page 17 District Seniors games promote fun EXETER The Tri -County Sen- ior District Games promote fun, fflloviship. and friendly competition in recreational games- for those 55 "years of ,age and over in the coun- ties of Huron, Perth and Middlesex (excluding the City of London). In. 1989, Exeter will be the host of the Tri -County Games to be held Monday, June 26, and Tuesday, . June 27. The surrounding con)mll-. nities of Dashwood, Hensall, Zu- rich, Grand Bend and Grand Cove Estates will also lend a hand in hosting and promoting the games. The games committee anticipates approximately 500 participants from 'the Tri -County arca converg- ing in Exeter•to participate in the following events: Boston pool,' contract . bridge, cribbage, carpet bowling, crokinole, darts; euchre, 5 pin bowling, golf, horseshoes, -lawn bowling, shuffleboard, snook- er, softball throw, sold, swimming, tennis, walking, and line dancing as a demonstration spirt. - Registration packages for the Dis- trict Games' will be sent to commu- nity contacts in February or early 'March to ensure response by May. The two day event will wrap up Tuesday evening with a banquet be- ing held at the South Huron Recrea- tion Centre in Exeter. It promises to be a fun filled opportunity for Seniors to come out and not only.
