ZURICH - For the "Old Timers"
who have seen many a January
come and go, it must be difficult to
find one to compare with that of
January, 1989.
With the weather being as favour-
able as it has been, some of our
Residents have been able to be out
walking and enjoying the fresh air.
We have quite an interested group
who enjoy their card games every
afternoon and some evenings, take
advantage of the exercise classes,
discussion groups, sing time and all
the activities in the craft room. We
welcome Helen Bedard and )Laura
Stewart back from the hospital.
Last week some of the Residents
enjoyed watching the large quilt be-
ing quilted by the Auxiliary and
some perhaps were able to help a
bit. This quilt will be raffled off on
Bean Festival Day in August and
tickets will be available here .at the
Home. August seems a long time
away but time does fly.
The Sunday evening chapel ser-
vice was conducted by Paul Zehr of
the Lakeview Conservative Men-
nonite Church.

Weiss with 4, Chris Jones 3, Gra-

HENSALL - londay morning
everyone w of to a good start
with f=un nd Fitness getting the
rusty joints moving. Some of us
creaked a little more loudly than
others. In the evening the faithful
Christian Reformed Singers per-
formed for us. A highlight was
I "Jesus Loves Me" by three-year-old
Mary Ann Visscher.
Tuesday, Reverend Debra Carter
of Centralia United Church led our
worship service. We appreciated her
remembering in prayer Pearl Hen-
dricks and Bernard Keyes who
passed away recently. We all miss
them both.
Euchre was played Wednesday by
1 some residents of our nursing home
I and the retirement home. There's a
rather friendly rivalry and competi-
tion going on which makes the
games much more fun.
Idella Sims celebrated her 98th
birthday, Thursday evening with
several friends and relatives over a
buffet supper and lovely decorated.
birthday cake. Congratulations Idel-
la from all of us at Queensway.
Friday afternoon several residents
relaxed in the sun room listening to
the tape of the United Church Sun-
