charge of the rest of the meeting.
Other helping Marie were Donna
Paynter, Betty Watson, Alice Par-

scripture readings.
The guest speaker for the evening
was Bev Brown from Brussels, a
director of Town and Country

years. They hire Homemakers who
are trained persons to help maintain
people in their own homes by of-

Exeter Villa
EXETER - Hello from everyone
at the Exeter Villa. January is half
oyer and it hardly seems as if we
have had any winter weather. Some
days it doesn't even feel like winter.
Birthday wishes go this week to
Bernice Trucmner and Ron Trucmn
er. Best wishes to both as mother
and son celebrate together.
We enjoyed having the Legion
Ladies for their monthly Bingo. We
had a record crowd and everyone en-
joyed the evening. Saturday night
was Banana Bingo. What a combi-
nation - our favourite fruit and our
favourite game.
Santa was very good to us this
year and brought us a VCR. Now
we shall be able to enjoy more 1110 -
vies. Last week's movie was "The
Incredible Journey", a Walt Disney
story about the travels of two dogs
and a cat.

Ailsa Craig UCW hears of Hong Kong
AILSA CRAIG - At the January
meeting of the Ailsa Craig
U.C.W. those present learned a
great deal about Hong Kong, its
cultural focus and the people who
live there. Kathy Kilby spent 10
months in Hong Kong and while
there she taught conversational
English in a school and encouraged
the young people to attend a
church to learn about the Christian
way of life.
Kathy was invited to the U.C.W.
meeting to share some of her expe-
riences with the members. As she
told about her work in Hong Kong
she showed a beautiful set of slides
and then answered many questions.
Mary Sutherland used "time" as
the theme of her worship service
for the first meeting in the New
Year. As time is a gift of God we
should learn time management and
make work an act of joy.
We sang the old hymn "Take
Time to be Holy" with Lorraine
Neil as pianist. Wilma McIntosh
read a suitable scripture.
During the business meeting
everyone was in favour of having a
roast beef supper in March. We
