Stephen had three different goal
scorers .in .the 3-1 win over St.
Marys. Scoring werc;,Chris Glavin
from Andy Glavin and Ken Desjar-
dine, Nif:k Parsons scored. the see-
;ond goal, from Billy -Connor and a
• goal by Pres_ Lavier. put the game
out of reach in the. third period.
Matt Glavin and Dcsjardine picked
up assists. -
Tommy Connor was the winning
goalie. .
The game against Exeter was
scoreless in -the first period, but
Stephen took a 3-2 heading into the
second intermission.
Exeter took a 2-0 lead on goals '
by Bryce Hann but Stephen took
the Icad later that period on two
goals. by. Dcsjardine, one from
Chris Glavin and one from Parsons
and Lavier and Billy Conhor scored
the other goal that period, from
Mark Glavin and Ruttcn. -
Stephen took a 4-2 lead on Lavi-
cr's goal early in the .third period,
but Exeter scored five unanswered
goals later to win he game. t
Darryl Parsons and John Hutton
• were called up from the Novices for
the game because Stephen was
missing four regular players.
In the 4-0 win over St Marys,

Nick Parsons scored the.only goal
for the locals in the 1-0 win over
Blyyth, while Lavier and Connor

When Stephen- lost 3-0 to Bel-
grave, the visitors got two goals in
the first period and one in the sec-
ond, while the Mini Hawks were
blanked on the scoreboard.

Broncos play three best games to win
EXETER - The Exetcr Broncos
played their three best games of the
year on Friday and it was good
enough to win the A champion -
.ship of the Exeter Petro- Canada -
Atom tournament at the Rec Cen-
tre.
• The Broncos started the tourna-
ment, which was sponsored locally
by Dave Moore Fuels, by beating
Huron Park 12-2.
In other first-round games in the
tournament, Port Stanley got past -
Mitchell 4=2, Ncw Hamburg beat
Godcrich 3-1 and Harrow blasted
.:_Woolwich 13-1.

In game five, Mitchell eliminat-
ed Huron Park 7-2, which allowed
Mitchell to advance to the B cham-
pionship game and face Godcrich, -
•
who -eliminated Woolwich 3-1.
In their second game, the Bron
:cos defeated Port Stanley 4-3, in a
very exciting gamc..The.gamc was -
tied 1-1 after three periods'and Ex-
eter scored three times in: a shoot-
out to two Tor New Hamburg.
The win advanced Exeter -to the -
championship game against New
Hamburg, who beat Harrow 7-2 to
advance to the championship.
In the B championship game,
Goderich won over Mitchell 5-4 in
a game that had to have- shootout
to -decide _i1
In the A -championship game the
locals beat Ncw IHamburg 5-2 in
- an. exciting game. Scoring forEx-
ctcr were; Brent Urlin;,from Chad
Gilfillan, Marty Dcbruyn unassist-
ed, Dcbruyn unassisted and Andrew
Hcrn and Chris McDonald both
scored unassisted, insurance goals.
