A nice weekend for Peter, following his two week study course at the U.P.P College, Toronto. Elizabeth Walper, visited with her sister Joanne Walper in Guelph over the weekend. HUGH MORENZ SHIPKA Sunday dinner guests with Eva and Milton Sweitzer, were their daughter and family, Sandra and Jim Campbell, and twins Kim and Kelly, of Exeter, Mrs. Elsie Comfort and Donna and Ivan Rainville, all of Welland. The Rainville's spent the week -end in Exeter with their Campbell cousins. Mrs. Comfort who had been visiting family and grandchildren here this past two weeks, returned home to Welland with her grand- children, Donna and Ivan. Mrs. Alice Keller returned home last Wednesday from Victoria hospital. London, where she has been a patient for the last five weeks. Family visitors, Sunday, with the Keller's were Roy and Audrey Gibson, of Crediton, and Don Keller, Goderich. Visitors during the week- end with Mrs. Trellis Little and Earl Stebbins were Bill Little and son Lonnie, of London, Philip Little and daughters Colleen, Jennifer, and Angela, of Strathroy, Maurice Desjardine, Huron Park, Ray and Kay Cooper of Exeter. Leila and Tommy Rosser, London, visited Thursday evening with Harold and Doreen Finkbeiner. Ed Turnbull, Oscar and Laura Miller, Melvin and Gertie Stade, Hilda Rader. Hugh and Annie Morenz, gathered last Wednesday evening at the Morenz home for a social time of visiting and card games and celebrated Laura's birthday. HEBER DAVIS SAINTSBURY The congregation of St. Patrick's sponsored a progressive euchre party Friday evening with 10 tables playing. Ladies high prize went to Mrs. Shirley Dickins Exeter, lone hands Mrs. Olive Hodgins Granton, men winners were high score Maurice Mac Donald Lucan, lone hands Milton Hodgins Denfield, low score prize to Mrs. Alexia Tindall Lucan, travelling prize Mrs. Bernice Squire Centralia. An interesting event followed the social hour. Dean Gibson, Lucan drew the winning ticket for the blue and white Dresden Plate made by the ladies of the A.C.W. the plates were donated by Mrs. Vera Greenlee Exeter. The winner of the quilt was Mrs. Dorothy Lake, Belmont when contacted by phone she said she had never won any thing before. Then a surprise presentation for Cote Wennerstrom, Lucan followed. He recently moved from the farm on concession four to an apartment in Lucan. Mrs. Helen MacDonald, Lucan read a short address, expressing the good wishes of his neighbours and friends . Mrs. Marguerite Greenlee presented him with a chime clock and Harvey Latta, Lucan presented a swag lamp.
