Hardy of Clinton and Rev P. Mooney of Zurich have been named to represent the church by the Stratford Deanery on the trustee -clergy- liaison committee. Board representatives on the committee are trustees Arthur Haid and Michael Connolly F.nd the representative from the administrative staff is John McCauley. Percy Wright has returned from an enjoyable holiday at Fort McMurray. All roads led to the International Ploughing Match during the week and many area residents at- tended the match Bud Hall. St Andrews Church - C•.0 W held a bridal shower for Debbie Consitt daughter of Mr.- and Mrs. Ray Consitt Monday evening at the church. Father Hardy is also the second member of the clergy on the Family Life Advisory committee. Rev. A. Loebach of Goderich is the other .member. They will help complete the curriculum for the students being taught the family life subject in the 19 schools in the system_ In other business at the meeting held Monday at Dublin. Christine Kelly. speech pathologist with the board. made a presentation on language and speech. which she implemented in the schools last year. Last year 160 students had an indepth assessment. and treatment and program recommended for 97 of them. Miss Kelly said ar- ticulation and language were most dealt with. but dysfluency 'Muttering voice and hearing problems were assessed. During the school term she will assess the students and work with the room teachers. resource teachers and parents. The board accepted the tender price from Petrofina Canada Ltd. for supply of No. two furnace oil from September 1. 1979 - August 3. 1980 at a firm discount of eight cents. for Wingham and for Hesson only a discount of three cents.
