The Gallery Stratford this
fall is introducing a new and
exciting program. Two
hundred small visual arts
units are being circulated as
an educational program
throughout Huron and Perth
Counties.
These "art packs" are
small exhibitions consisting
of one work of art such as a
drawing, print or piece of
sculpture or two or three
reproductions /photographs
around a par icular theme.
The Gallery Stratford has
received wonderful co-
operation from the school
boards of Huron and Perth
counties. A planning com-
mittee of educators assisted

student in this area could
earn $1,000 in Canada's most
prestigious_ student writing
contest, Denman Sinclair,
Public Relations contact at
The Permanent announced
today. A total of 510,000 will
be shared by other talented
young writers from coast to
coast in the 13th Annual
Student Writing Contest
which is sponsored by The
Permanent.
The judges will be making
major cash awards to the
three best writers in each
province of 5500. 5300 and
5100 respectively. The ten
provincial first prize winners
are then judged together to
determine the National
Grand Prize winner who
earns a further $500 bringing
this student's total award to
51,000. The rules and
regulations governing this
national contest have been

1 The Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Exeter intends to apply to the Ontario Municipal
Board for approval of constructtngsa brick structure
of approximately Two Thousand (2.000) Square
Feet and (111.4 trnishings and equipment necessary
for the establishment of a Police Station at an es-
timated cost of 570.000.00 which amount shall be
raised by the sale of debentures payable out of the
general rate over a period not exceeding 20 years.
2. Application will be made to the Ontario
Municipal Board for an order to dispense with the•
assent of the electors to the undertaking of the said
works. Any ratepayer may within twenty. -one days
after the first publication of this .notice. serve per-
sonally or by registered mail on the Clerk of the

notice in writing stating his objection to such ap-
proval and the grounds of such objection and that if
a public hearing is held, he -or his agent will attend
such hearing to support such objection
3. The Ontario Municipal Board may order pursuant
to the statute that the assent of the electors shall
