FRED BOWDEN CENTRALI.i The Vacation Bible School sponsored by the Centralia and Zion West congregations was.held last week in the school rooms of Centralia United Church with 55 boys and girls in attendance. Those assisting. Mr. Schott in conducting the school were Evelyn Rollings, Linda Aikens, Barbara French,. Laura Hern, Carolynne Hern, Margaret Hern. Marilyn Miller. Phyllis Tomes, Clarisse Hern, Joan Hern, Marcia Clarke. Jenny Smith and Susan Jaques. Assisting with the music were Douglas Gill, Mrs. Lois Wilson and Penny Smith. Donna Smith, Aldeen Skinner and Mabel Hern were the committee in charge of the refreshments. Those looking after the babies were Dianne Skinner, Dorothy Hern. Marina Jaques, Donna and Barbara Wilson. Mrs. Lorne Hicks en- tertained on Wednesday morning when she showed slides of children from various countries visited through her travels. Sunday Service "The Working Hands of Jesus': was the subject chosen by Paul Schott for his sermon in the United Church on Sunday morning. Jesus hands were used in per- forming many miracles and healing was a big part of this ministry. Jesus hands were nail -pierced hands. The children's story was -told--by Mr. Schott. A solo was sung by Joanne Smith. Mr. Gill was the organist and was accompanied on the piano by Mary Lou Tasko. Personals Mr. - and Mrs. Stephen Molnar, Jim and Nancy of Agincourt were guests over the holiday week -end with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Molnar. Mr. and Mrs-. Paul Schott and family spent the Labor Day holiday with relatives in Kitchener. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shoebottom and family spent the week -end with Richard's parents, Mr.. and Mrs. Ray Shoebottom in Parry Sound. Mrs.. Russell Wilson and family spent the holiday weekend at their cottage at Shepherd Lake. Welcome at Shipka dv MRS. HUGH MORENZ More than 30, attended a surprise housewarming, and family get together, of the Musselman family, last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fermon Snyder. In the past year the Snyder's have built and now occupy a new home here. On this'occasion a bridal shower was held for their son James, and his bride elect. Judy Vincent. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Otto •Plein and Christopher of Elmira, Esther Snyder. of London. spent the week -end at their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fermon Snyder. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Regier, Christopfier and Heather, of Detroit, spent the week -end in Canada at their cottage here. Anne and Albert Coleman. of London. visited Sunday at their Morenz cousins here, and also with relatives in Hensall. Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Baker Sr, were her sister and brother -in- Mrs. Henry Adkins spent a few days at her gran-• daughter's Gloria and ' Harvey Beierling, and greatgrands, Kevin and Dwight. Nancy Baker, of Kitchener spent the week -end at her parents here.
