Church news
Douglas Willis, a lay
preacher from Mitchell, was
in charge of the morning
ser -vice Sunday at St.
Thomas Anglican Church, as
Rev. Mary Mills is not yet
well enough to return to her
pulpit.
Mr. Willis based his ser-
mon on the texts from the
2nd scripture lessees
Galations chapter 6 and the
15th chapter of John. "Bear
ye one another's burdens and.
so .fulfill the law of Christ"
"This is my commandment,
thay ye love one another, as I
have loved you."
Referring to the Boat
People, the preacher said,
there appears to be only one
in four people who want to
help these unfortunate souls
the Loneliness of the han-
dicapped and the aged were
burdens which we could help
to ease with our love.
Also in church relation-
ships, there is still room for
paryer and work in this area
whatever the denomination,
and to remenber that we are
all serving the same Christ.
