Firemen win own event
The Exeter firemen were
busy at their second annual
golf tournament this past
weekend and are now
engaged in plans for a
special attraction for this
one.
On Saturday, they'll host
their pancake breakfast at
the fire hall from 7.00 a.m. to
11.00' In addition, they're
holding a yard sale.
The locals didn't play
congenial hosts at their
golfing event at Ironwood.
They entered two teams and
took the top two spots in the
Firefighters' Mutual Aid golf
event.

Fullerton triumphs
after a shoot-out
In the latest inter -club
skeet shoot, the Fullerton
and Claybird Gun Club
finished with a tied score of
221.
The top shooters from each
of these two teams, Calvin
Christie, Fullarton and Rick
Schroeder, Claybird, broke
the tie by shooting doubles
from the centre station with
Calvin taking the win. -
The Crumlin Gun Club,
London, finished third at 219
The Goderich Club iu with
216.. The South Huron
Sportsman Association
finished fifth with a 162 and
the Kippen Gun Club finished
sixth with a 154 score.
The skee3 shooting event
was hosted at the Goderich
Gun Club with 54 shooters in
attendance.
In regular Wednesday
night shooting at the
Claybird Gun Club, Bill
Weber shot his first straight
2g in'- the skeet shooting
followed by Paul Giles and
Tom Russell with 23 and
Rick Schroeder, 21. 'Ken

tops golfers
For the second consecutive
week Ian Smith took top
honors at mens night at the
Ironwood Golf Course.
Smith had the low gross
score of 38 in the A flight.
Don Cowan had a 33 which
gave him the best net score.
In B flight Fred Mom-
. mersteeg had a 41 for low
gross honoures while Peter
McFalls netted a 34.
Allan Keys was tops in C
flight gross with a 46 while
Brad Murray had the low net
score of 32.
Taking the low gross title
in D flight was Chan
Livingstone with a 53 while
John Musser had the low net
of 37.
Steve Pearce took the
juvenile division with 37.

minutes Dave Nolan evened
for the Bend, and four
minutes later Kevin Sim-
monds sent the visitors
ahead with the winner.
