Becker family
holds reunion

The 28th Becker Reunion
was held July 22 in the
pavilion at the community
centre with 106 in atten-
dance. -
The sports committee
entertained all ages. A
smorgasbord supper was
enjoyed by all. Plans were
blade to hold the next reu-
nion at Fort Erie in 1 ,1
with Doug Kendrick presi-
dent, Vice-president, Jim
Heckman; secretary -
treasurer, Georgina Ken-
drick, sports committee,
Bill, David and Gary Ken-
drick; table committee,
Dorothy Rehaume. In-
vitations are to be sent two
months in advance.

Zion Lutheran church
Women's Missionary
League held their guarterly
meeting at the home of Mrs.
Bill Becker with nine ladies
attending. Mrs. Delmar
Miller based her topic on
James and John with the
heading "Ordinary people in
Extraordinary Roles," she
pointed out that those people
who think they can do
nothing might find out just
how well they can do.
It was decided to ask for
donations of old sheets and
flannelette blankets for ban-
dages. The centennial offer-
ing should be turned in dur-
ing the next 2 weeks. Lunch
was served by Mrs. Maggie
Nadiger and Mrs. Becker.
Work on Banner
The Youth of Zion
Lutheran Church held their
meeting July 22 with
Jonathan Mellecke opening
the meeting with a prayer
followed by Bible Study
which( was about "Conflicts
with Sin". Following.discus•
sion of upcoming events the
meeting closed with a circle
prayer. They then worked on
a banner and had
refreshments.

derwent surgery in Victoria
Hospital, London, has been
released and has•returned to
Huronview, Clinton.
Mrs. Verda Bosk, Detroit,
is spending some time here
with her sister, Mrs. Louella
Tiernan and other relatives.

sylvania. and Mrs. Louella
