many floats, push and pull
vehicles, a double decker
bus, an old steam engine, not
to mention, a goat being
driven in a cart. a team of
mules, horses and riders,
and even a piglet following
its ow•ner,without evena lead.

Convention
A number of members
from Court Valentine of
Granton Lady Foresters
Lodge attended the "get
acquainted night at the
Holiday Inn in London July 8.
This was a get together
preceding the national
convention which is
celebrating the centennial of
Canadian Foresters at the
Holiday Inn City Centre
London.
Taking part in the en-
tertainment Sunday evening
were the youngson family of
Rannoch who afire all
Foresters. Mrs. Larry Hern
represented the Granton
Court as their delegate.
4H News
The "Ladybugs" of
Granton 411 club Group 1
took part ,in an overnight
camp out inFanshawe Park.
.July 5, to put into practice
what they had: learned by
tailing this course on outdoor
living. Thirteen members
and their leader Mrs.
Micheal ()'Shea and Miss
Melanie Walker pitched
their tents, set up camp, and
cooked, their meals over a
camp fire Recipes learned
at this club were used, such
as bacon and eggs cooked in
a bag . A hike to Look Point
across the lake dam, was
enjoyed.
This outing was a great
success and thoroughly
enjoyed by all the girls,
according to secretary and
press reporter Cathy Rid-
dell.
Church News
At the.t'nited Church Rev.
Elwood Morden was in
charge of the Sunday
morning worship and took
the text for the theme for his
sermon "Going through the
Wilderne's" from Exodus
14-14.
The congregation are
reminded or the Vacation
Bible School which starts
August 13-17
There is no church service
at St. Thomas Anglican
Church during July, as the
minister the Rev. Mary Mills
is on vacation. The
congregation of fit. Thomas
is invited to share the
worship at the United
Church -
