Four members attended the 85th District Annual at Parkhill. Each gave the highlights of the meeting for her. There was a display of recycled ar- ticles = a chairpad made from a man'sshirt and some net scratch pads. We discussed making finger puppets and- children's slippers and collecting craft items for the Lon - Jon Children's hospital. Next year is Middlesex 4-1-1 six- tieth anniversary to which we may give a financial contribution. Convener of International Affairs, Iva Hord, had a wall display of hap- py pictures. International jokes pro- vided much fun. Iva gave a book re- port, the story of Mother Teresa. called "Hearts to Iovc, Hands- to serve" - truly inspirational. Next we had a quiz to name 25 capital cities of overseas countries. Bernice Lockyer won it, and re- ccivcd two marigold plants.
