Local Jehovah's Witnesses participate
Attend baptism ceremony
EXETER - On Sunday May 8
some 25 families from the Exeter
congregation of Jehovah's Witness-
es travelled to Norval, Ontario.
Titcy participated in a one day sem-
inar held at the Assembly Hall of
Jehovah's Witnesses. The special
day of ministerial instruction was
based on the scriptural theme,
"Make Sure of the More Important
Things".
A local minister Wayne Kelly
delivered the Bible talk, "Your De-
dication and Baptism Reflect Trust
in Jehovah." Kelly commended the
baptismal candidates for their dili-
gent study and application of Bible
principles in their daily lives.
Kelly continued, "Baptism is a
fitting symbol, going under the wa-
ter pictures dying as to your former
course of action and being lifted up
from the water pictures being resur-
rected to a new way of life. By the
act of your baptism this morning,
your dedication to Jehovah is fixed
indelibly in your memory as a ma-
jor step and turning point in your
life."
The seminar concluded' with the
main discourse delivered by Donald
Mills of the Watch Tower Society,
entitled "Jehovah's Organization is
on the Move." Those in attendance
were encouraged to keep pace with
the great increase of proclaimers of
Jehovah's Kingdom under Jesus
Christ. To accomplish this we must
continue to make personal spiritual
advancement and thus be qualified to
teach others the Bible's promise of a
new paradise earth.
