Judith Parker welcomed everyone and gave the theme "On Finding A Blessing In Life's Strug- gles". Janis Richardson led in prayer. Ann Kenrick read the scripture Gen- esis 32:22-32 with Judith taking the part of the angel and Janis tak- ing the part of Jacob. Judith gave the meditation "The Christian Life". Ann and Janis assisted with the meditation. The offering was re- ceived by Ann and Janis with prayer by Jean Coward. Judith,gave the study on "Coping With Crisis" with readings about tornado victim Verna Cope, about financial struggle of Glenda Town- send, about a fire victim Fran So- merville, Ann and Janis also assist- ed Janis introduced Loralee Marshall of Kirkton, who spoke on her kid- ney transplant which was very in- formative. Judith Parker thanked Loralcc and Janis presented her with a gift and a cheque for the kidney foundation. The ladies put on a skit "Farming Takes A Woman's Touch" which was very huinorous. A resolution was read concerning the proposed teaching of Agricul- ture in school from Grade 7 to 12 which would be used as a credit when entering a college or universi- ty in Ontario. This was the first time South Huron has qualified for the 18 -team finals. The team played .10 games and was eliminated before the semi- finals, but coach Barbara Golding said it was a good -learning experience for the participants.
