gave so much of their lives to this
branch. Let's never forget them.
They will also be proud of you for
your efforts in making this commu-
nity a better place to live in."
Saturday's celebration marked the
end of 15 months of renovations at
a total cost of $173,000. This in-
cluded a new wheel chair elevator,

Plaque dedicated
THAMES ROAD - Rev. Teddy
Smits was in charge of the church
scrvicc Sunday morning. The choir
sang two numbers "The Lord's My
Shepherd" and "On The Wings Of
A Dove" accompanied by Miss
Agnes Bray on the piano. Rev.
Smits told the children an interest-
ing story about birds and their
nests.
Rev. Teddy Smits was in charge
of the dedication of the church fans
and a plaque, and Mrs. Ross Cottle
dedicated a clock, all in loving
memory of Garry Cottle who
passed away July 15, 1987. The
gifts were accepted on behalf of the
church by Edwin Miller of the
Board of Trustees of the Church.
Two beautiful flower arrangements
were placed in the church in memo-
ry of Garry.
Dorothy Duncan read the Scrip-
ture Lesson. In his sermon„ Rev.
Smits concentrated the message on
the dedications. The text was Isaiah
49:16 "Behold, I have graven you
on the palms of my hands".
All of us arc constantly moving
through this world, and where we
see children being born, we also see
people dying all the time. We are
pilgrims in this world, on our way
to somewhere else. And many a
journey holds a lot of hardships.
Some journeys can be full of
light while people give some hope
to others on the way. But all of us
come to a point where we ask:
Where do I belong and where am I
going?
In some way God knows about
us, and guides our ways. We may
die at an early age or late in life.
But all of us know that God never
loses us out of his sight.
